HIRING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
HIRE DURATION
Hiring of the equipment will commence from the delivery or pick up date and time specified by the owner, and shall be collected or returned to the owner by the date specified by the owner. Any extension to the hire period must be agreed to by the owner.
Pick up is usually available from Thursday. Returns by the following Tuesday.
DAMAGE, LOSS & REPLACEMENT
If on the return of the equipment to the owner the equipment is found by the owner to not be in a substantial working order, the Hirer shall pay to the owner the cost and expenses of restoring the equipment to its original condition and good working order. The Hirer accepts full responsibility to compensate the owner for up to the retail value of the equipment determined by the owner, or parts thereof which may be lost or stolen from the time of commencement of the hire or delivery, whichever is earlier, until the equipment is returned to the owner’s premises or collected by the owner.
BOND & CLEANING FEE
A bond equivalent to 20% of the total hire equipment cost shall be charged and payable as part of the booking. This bond serves as security against loss, damage, late returns, or any other breach of the hire agreement.
A cleaning fee shall be charged as a separate line item, calculated based on the quantity of items hired. The applicable cleaning fee schedule is published on the Caduree website (www.caduree.com) under the Cleaning Fee product listing. The cleaning fee is non-refundable and applies to all hire orders, irrespective of the condition in which items are returned.
Provided all hired items are returned on time, in good condition, and in full, the bond will be refunded in full within 14 days of the return date. In the event that any items are returned late, damaged, or missing, Caduree reserves the right to deduct the appropriate amount from the bond. Should the cost of damage, loss, or breach exceed the bond amount, the customer will be liable for the additional costs and will be issued a separate invoice for the outstanding balance.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
As part of the owner’s quality assurance process, all equipment is checked, counted and cleaned prior to dispatch. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to check all of the ordered equipment on delivery or collection and the Hirer must notify the owner of any breakages or missing items within 24 hours of receiving the equipment for hire.
The Hirer acknowledges that it is aware of the proper use for which the equipment hired is designed and it has inspected the equipment and expressly agrees that the equipment is:
- in clean condition;
- in satisfactory working order;
- and; is of a quality and specifications as ordered.
